i can’t quite remember how we met but i do remember the night we drove in his little beat up car to a tiny movie theater in downtown los angeles. it was tucked into the basement of a skyscraper. that night we drove around LA with the windows down. i don’t know if he’d even remember me now but he’s playing the bootleg theater this tuesday. for what it’s worth i always remember Hrishikesh Hirway’s voice totally worth the traffic and the entrance fee at the door. let’s see if a few years haven’t changed a thing.
