What do you think are good MAC lipsticks/blushes for darker skinned girls? Being hispanic makes it harder to find perfect pinks and peaches!
on deeper olive skin tones i love using MAC lipsticks in “freckletone”, “ravishing”, “shy girl”, “velvet teddy”, and “lovelorn” in MAC blushes “sunbasque”, pinch me” and “fluer power” all look great on tan skin….and “warm soul” is always amazing as well!
for very deep skin tones try MAC lipstick in “o” or “siss” and “ambering rose” blush
would you suggest a full false lash or individuals? I have really long eyelashes but I want more volume and no mascara I've tried is getting me there!
i always go for a full band. i only use individuals when doing bottom lashes! if you take a look around, you will see a lot of brands make great bands of lashes that still look super natural and wispy <3 go for a pair that are more spaced out and will work to just fill in between your natural lash!
I've bought a lot of cute wedges for the coming school year! I'm going to college and even though I'm not doing a lot of walking ( it's a community college so it's not that big) I'm still unsure if to wear them or not. What do you think?
of course you should wear them! i spent all five years of college in wedges and i went to a huge school with a gigantic campus <3 granted, on the days i was worn out or had huge tests that i’d crammed for, those days i showed up in my favorite chucks <3
I've got a bit of a problem. Whenever I meet new guys I can't help but compare them to my ex. I know it's bad but I can't help it. I need advice on how to move on. I know I won't go back to my ex because he cheated on me. But a little part of me still wonders what he's doing or why I never meant much to him. Do you have any advice on how to move on?
it’s hard to let men like that go. i think it is this deep rooted feeling of failure…why were we not good enough for them to be loyal to? why were were not enough entirely? and even though the things men choose to do are, very little of the time, tied to us personally…we still feel very responsible. and that can be tough for girls to take. so we dwell on it, even after the relationship is over. we want to try to fix whatever it was that failed us then.
it takes time to come to terms with that sort of thing. as you get older you start to realize a lot of men have these egos that need to be stroked by strangers. it’s rare to find that one little bewildered one that needs you and only you…they’re out there, im sure of it. blind faith, but i have to believe they exist. but until then, until you feel at peace with what happened in the past, i honestly think the healthiest route is the one you take alone. it’s so easy to try and jump into something new. try and mask some of that hurt. but not matter how wonderful the man, if you’re still broken and healing….there will be that empty space.
so just give yourself some time. find long romantic books to read. take bike rides through neighborhoods you wish you lived in. take a class you always wanted to (i started taking drum lessons when my past relationship went to shit…and not only did i look like a little badass learning triplets and now know how to read drum tablature, but i turned all that frustration into music)…..so let the bass kick little kitten. soon enough your ex will just sound like a one hit wonder.
I was wondering if you could give me some make-up advice, I would be forever grateful! You see, I have a roundish/heart-shaped face and was wondering where I should apply blush/bronzer to contour & give the appearance of a slimmer shape. Thank you so much! XoXo Stay Gorgeous!
you came to the right girl - my face is ‘bout as heart-shaped and round as they come! there are a few key areas you want to focus on…
1. i always start by applying my blush….centered directly on the apple of my cheeks and buffed out towards the outter corners of my cheek bones
2. i then go in with bronzer directly beneath my blush into the hollows of my cheeks (where it dips in when you make a fishy-face) i let my bronzer lightly overlap the bottom edges of my blush so it nicely fades and you don’t see where one stops and the other starts!
3. i then go and highlight the tops of my cheek bones with a more pale shade of my natural skin tone….and something with just a touch of shimmer to help reflect light. i carry that out and around my eyes (pretty much encasing the orbital bone)
On monday I saw a little old man swaggering along with his 3 little chihuahuas, really made me giggle & reminded me of you (of course I tried to get a picture but sneaky running after him & film cameras don't go too well together, boo!) <3
hahaha awww. i could picture you creeping up behind him all quiet like and him not hearing you one bit….but those three little guard dogs looking over their little furry shoulders at you like “what in the hell….”
